Hi, I'd like to introduce myself as Jason 'Saucy' Worcester who has recently started up the Daintree Village Wild Fishing Charters.  We mainly fish the beautiful and wild waters of the upper Daintree and fish downstream to the Barrett's Creek junction.
I have been fishing the Daintree river for a couple of years now targeting mainly barramundi, with all others being caught a bonus.  I've managed to catch that elusive metre Barra a couple of times which is a real achievement for this particular river system.  I've easily caught over 500 Barra during these couple of ears between the 50-78cm range which is very common in the upper reaches.  I have also been lucky to have met up with a local (who prefers to remain un-named) with over 50 plus years fishing the Daintree River.  Naturally I have taken onboard a lot of invaluable information from this chap.  I went out once with him and caught over ten Barra in no time proving that there is no substitute for local knowledge.
So in the last couple of months I have started up a fishing charter business to share my fishing adventures with others.  We operate from the Daintree Village jetty catering for 2 to 4 hour trips to full days fishing as well.  With this month's weather being a tad fresh I have been lucky to still produce some nice catches.  I must say it has been a pleasure meeting and fishing with new people and seeing them catch their first barra.  I'd like to express my thanks to Jamie and Edie Beitzel for giving me the pleasure to share my fishing adventures with others with the use of their barra punt and permit for this river.
